Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Engineer based in the Helsinki or Turku area, you will carry out commissioning, maintenance and service work on electric propulsion systems for marine applications. All activities will follow established work instructions, standard processes, quality requirements and safety guidelines.Working closely with customers and internal engineering and service teams, you will serve as a technical contact and help deliver reliable service and a positive customer experience.The role includes approximately 150 travel days per year, primarily internationally, providing hands-on technical support at customer sites worldwide. This is an opportunity to work with advanced marine technology, strengthen your technical skills and gain international experience in a customer-focused environment.Your main responsibilities will include:Carrying out commissioning and maintenance of marine electric propulsion systemsSupervising installation, startup, testing and commissioning activities in collaboration with customersPerforming service and warranty work on vessels in operationInstalling and commissioning equipment, as well as investigating technical issues both remotely and on siteCompleting a range of service tasks, including routine maintenance, system extensions and equipment replacementsAdvising customers on appropriate service solutions in line with established processes, procedures and safety requirementsDeveloping strong customer relationships and delivering specialist technical supportTroubleshooting equipment failures and proposing corrective measures to help prevent recurring issuesIdentifying opportunities to improve service applications, equipment and working methodsQualifications for the RoleA B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, automation, marine engineering or a related disciplineThe ability and willingness to carry out mechanical service work when neededReadiness for extensive international travel, approximately 150 days per yearA collaborative mindset and a practical, solution-oriented approachGood Finnish and English language skills for regular communication with customers and internal teamsGood working knowledge of MS OfficeThe ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a teamStrong communication and customer service skillsPrevious hands-on commissioning experience with relevant products or systems is an advantage. Experience in shipbuilding, marine systems, industrial equipment or electric propulsion systems is also valued, as are additional language skills.
