Hey! Thanks for checking this out! Hope you find the role exciting... 2 quick notes:Please only apply if you have already led a solutions engineering or presales team, and have worked in fintech - payments, spend management, banking, or a product sold to finance teams. This is a player-coach role. You lead a team of five and still take the hard deals yourself. The company is…A fintech scale-up in spend management, used by tens of thousands of European companies. They built the category from the SMB up and are now taking it up-market into mid-market and enterprise, with a sales process already rebuilt around technical complexity instead of deal size. 🌟 What's in it for you?The SE function here is small, genuinely good, and about to matter a great deal more. You would own it end to end: the team, the engagement model, the hiring plan. You are not inheriting someone else's playbook, you are writing the one that carries them up-market. They offer the following…Competitive package with equity.Remote-first across Europe, with the team spread from London to Berlin.A team of five strong SEs, on the way to seven.A direct line to commercial leadership who have scaled up-market motions before, and who want the SE function in the room for it.Real investment behind the enterprise push, not a pilot. 💼 What will you do?Lead five solutions engineers across the UK, DACH and Southern Europe.Build the dual-track model: light-touch and scalable on straightforward deals, white-glove where the technical risk actually sits.Step into the complex deals yourself: POVs, custom integrations, enterprise conversations.Develop a mixed-seniority team, from juniors to newly promoted seniors.Partner with ~40 AEs and a growing enterprise team on where SE effort goes and why.Bring what you see in the field back to product. You need these skills…5+ years in solutions engineering or presales, including real time leading a team with direct reports.Fintech exposure. You understand payments, licensing and why money has to move a specific way -> not something you can pick up on the job here.Enterprise deal exposure, and the credibility to be the most senior technical voice in the room.Fluent English. German or a Nordic language is a genuine plus.Happy remote, but present — regular time in London and Berlin with your team and the AEs :) Why NOW, why here? They have been SMB-heavy and are going up-market this year, with the process already redesigned for it. The SE function is both the bottleneck and the lever. This is the window to get in before the team doubles -> after that, you are joining someone else's structure instead of building your own 🚀
