Sr. Brand Manager – Fast-Growing DTC Haircare Brand (US focused) Compensation: up to $8k a month Location: Remote, EU hours + flexibilityReports to: CEO & COOEngagement: Full-time The OpportunityWe're partnering with a DTC haircare brand built primarily through creator marketing, with a product and acquisition engine that already works. The next phase is about building the brand layer around that foundation: a clearer identity, stronger creative direction, and a consistent way the brand looks, sounds, and shows up across every customer touchpoint. That is what you'll own. You'll define the visual identity and tone of voice, build the brand playbook, set the direction for social, and shape creative across creator content, paid ads, packaging, campaigns, and product launches. But this isn't a strategy-only role. The brand needs someone who genuinely enjoys making things and can move between setting the creative direction and getting hands-on with design, copy, shooting, and editing. You'll come in before the brand function is fully built. Within your team there's a dedicated Social & Community Manager: you set the direction, they handle the hands-on day-to-day work, and you jump in where needed. Alongside that, you'll work with freelance designers and editors. The creative standard and system still need an owner, and as the function develops, there is room to build out the creative team around you step by step. What You'll Do Build the BrandOwn and evolve the brand identity across visual direction, typography, color, imagery, messaging, and tone of voice.Build a practical brand playbook that gives every team a clear standard for how the brand should look, sound, and communicate.Translate the brand into real execution across social, creator content, paid ads, packaging, campaigns, and product launches.Build consistency across customer touchpoints without making the brand feel overly controlled or formulaic.Shape the brand as a premium, credible, results-driven haircare brand for the US market. Set the Creative Direction – and Execute ItOwn the creative direction across brand content rather than only reviewing work produced by others.Stay hands-on with the craft: write copy, design assets, shoot content, edit, and turn ideas into real creative when needed.Develop concepts, formats, visual ideas, storytelling approaches, and creative frameworks that work across organic and performance channels.Manage freelance designers and editors, giving them clear direction while maintaining the creative standard yourself.Build a content library of strong formats, ideas, references, and creative learnings that the wider team can use.Own the creative direction around product launches and other important brand moments. Own Social DirectionSet the strategy and creative direction for Instagram and TikTok, with your Social & Community Manager handling the day-to-day execution and you stepping in where needed.Define what the brand should talk about, how it should show up, and which formats and stories are worth testing.Stay close to platform behavior, culture, trends, competitors, and audience response without chasing trends that don't fit the brand.Review performance across reach, engagement, saves, profile activity, and audience growth to understand what is resonating.Turn social learnings into better creative across the rest of the business. Connect Brand and PerformanceWork closely with paid growth and creator marketing so the brand doesn't live separately from what actually drives customer response.Bring stronger brand thinking into performance creative while protecting the credibility that makes creator content work.Identify high-performing creator and UGC content that can be repurposed or developed further across brand and paid channels.Use performance feedback to sharpen creative decisions rather than treating brand and commercial outcomes as separate disciplines.Work with Operations on packaging and other physical brand touchpoints to keep the customer experience consistent. What We're Looking ForYou have extensive hands-on experience in brand, creative direction, content, or a combination of these within a consumer business. You have a strong portfolio that shows both brand thinking and actual execution across areas such as identity, content, social, campaigns, and creative direction.Ideally, you've worked in high-growth DTC, beauty, wellness, or e-commerce and understand the speed and commercial reality of that environment. You're a creative maker, not only a creative manager. You're comfortable opening the design file, writing the copy, picking up a camera, or editing something yourself when that is the fastest way to get to the right result. You have strong visual taste and can explain why something works rather than relying only on personal preference. You know how to build a brand system from an incomplete starting point and turn it into practical standards other people can actually use.You understand Instagram and TikTok deeply enough to set the strategy and creative standard for a consumer brand without needing to own every daily post yourself. You can lead a Social & Community Manager as well as designers, editors, and other creative freelancers, while remaining close enough to the work to raise the quality yourself. You understand how brand, creator content, organic social, and paid creative interact rather than treating them as separate channels.Experience building for the US consumer market is highly relevant. You're comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team where there are few layers between an idea, a decision, and something going live. Why JoinThis brand already has something many brands are still trying to find: a product people respond to and a creator-led growth engine with real traction. The opportunity now is to build the brand around it. You'll have the space to define what that brand becomes while still being close enough to the work to create it yourself. You're not inheriting a finished playbook or a large creative department. You'll build the first strong version, put it into practice across the business, and over time shape the team around it as the function grows. Interested? Reach out via DM or mail to [email protected]
