Strategic Sourcing Lead - AI infrastructure About the OpportunityMy client is a fast-scaling AI infrastructure operator building out next-generation GPU compute campuses across multiple European countries, supporting some of the largest AI training and inference workloads in the region. They're in the middle of an aggressive multi-site build-out, six deployments across four countries in six months. Hardware lead times are a critical path item across the entire rollout, making this a central role in keeping the six-site build-out on schedule. TThe RoleYou'll own hardware and vendor sourcing strategy to keep a live, multi-site AI infrastructure build-out on schedule; managing vendor relationships and lead times across GPUs, networking, and facility equipment. What You'll DoOwn vendor sourcing and negotiation for hardware (GPUs, networking equipment, racks) across multiple concurrent site deploymentsManage and forecast lead times against a live construction/deployment scheduleBuild and maintain vendor relationships at a strategic levelWork closely with PMO/TPM and facility teams to align procurement timelines with site go-live datesSupport the introduction or improvement of procurement/ERP tooling as needed What We're Looking ForVendor negotiation experience at hardware/hyperscale volumeProcurement/ERP platform experience (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar)Track record managing lead times against a live deployment or construction scheduleComfort operating under time pressure across multiple concurrent projects Nice to HaveDirect experience procuring GPU/AI compute hardwareExperience sourcing for a multi-site, multi-country build-out Why This RoleSit at the centre of one of the most demanding hardware sourcing challenges in AI infrastructure today, with direct influence over whether a six-site build-out hits its milestones.
