System Administrator / Application Specialist – Stock Exchange Trading SystemsLocation: SwedenRole OverviewWe are looking for a System Administrator / Application Specialist to support the operations team responsible for critical, high-availability stock exchange trading systems.The consultant will work closely with internal Trading, Operations, Development and IT teams, as well as external suppliers. The role requires strong technical understanding, leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents and operational issues.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport, operate and monitor critical stock exchange trading systems.Act as a bridge between business, Trading, Operations, Development, IT and external suppliers.Lead and follow up on operational activities, investigations and technical issues.Coordinate with suppliers and ensure effective communication and issue resolution.Handle critical incidents and respond quickly to situations requiring immediate action.Work with the internal IT function on:Server capacityProduction environmentsProduction settingsTechnical platform requirementsFollow ITIL-based processes, including:Incident ManagementChange ManagementRelease ManagementTake ownership of multiple activities/projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.Proactively identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.Understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.Provide technical and operational leadership within the support environment.Must-Have Requirements4+ years of relevant professional experience.Academic/vocational education in IT or equivalent professional experience.Strong experience with stock exchange / securities trading systems, such as:AbasecProBrokerInfrontMillistreamOr similar trading/securities platformsExperience working with agile methodologies.Proven experience leading people, activities or technical initiatives.Strong experience in activity coordination, follow-up and stakeholder management.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Good understanding of IT operations and technical platforms.Hands-on experience with ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Change and Release Management.Fluent/strong Swedish and English communication skills.Ability to work independently, take ownership and act proactively.Ability to work effectively in a high-availability / business-critical environment.Nice-to-HaveExperience with ServiceNow.Experience with Azure DevOps.Previous experience in the banking/financial services sector.Experience with securities trading or capital-market environments.Previous background as a Software Developer or Test Engineer.
