Technical Sales Manager

QHeat is a Finnish geothermal energy technology company accelerating the transition to clean, efficient and locally produced heat. Our patented coaxial deep geothermal technology enables large-scale heating, cooling and seasonal heat storage. Our technology is already proven in commercial use. We have delivered six geothermal heating plants incorporating 19 deep geothermal wells. We are now scaling QHeat as an international energy technology company through selected partners, while continuing to develop opportunities in our home market. We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to grow our business in the Nordics and help customers turn complex energy challenges into commercially viable solutions. This is not traditional product sales. Every customer has a different energy system, operating environment and investment case. You will need to understand the complete picture, identify where QHeat’s technology creates value and lead the opportunity from the first discussion towards a technical concept and delivery. Your key priorities: 1. Shape credible energy concepts with customersYou will move comfortably between commercial discussions and technical problem-solving.You will:Understand the customer’s heating, cooling and energy-storage needs, including energy flows, temperature levels, existing production assets, excess-heat sources and future requirements.Evaluate how QHeat’s technology fits into the wider energy system and where it provides the greatest value.Develop preliminary solution concepts and define what further data, calculations and technical validation are needed.Coordinate feasibility studies, energy calculations, simulations and technical input with QHeat’s specialists.Translate technical findings into a clear customer solution, investment logic and commercial proposal.Communicate credibly with both technical specialists and commercial decision-makers. 2. Grow QHeat’s business in the NordicsYou will take ownership of developing technically promising opportunities in the Nordic market together with our International Growth Lead.You will:Build and manage relationships with energy companies, property owners, industrial companies, heat pump companies, engineering partners and other relevant organisations.Identify customer sites and energy challenges where QHeat’s technology can create meaningful value.Create new opportunities through your own networks, targeted outreach, industry events and cooperation with partners.Lead the technical sales track from first contact and qualification through proposal, negotiation and closing. 3. Build QHeat’s technical sales capabilityYou will help turn QHeat’s accumulated expertise into a more scalable and repeatable way of selling.You will:Develop our energy engineering practices from sales to delivery.Work closely with our team of experts to develop and further develop our offering and channels to better fit the customers needs.Create practical qualification criteria, solution concepts and sales tools for recurring customer needs.Help document technical and commercial assumptions so that opportunities can be developed consistently.Help partners and colleagues communicate QHeat’s technical value more confidently. What we would like to see from youYou could be a strong fit for this role if you combine energy-system expertise with the commercial drive to develop and close complex B2B opportunities.We are looking for:Experience in designing energy system concepts, including areas such as heat pumps, district heating, geothermal energy, energy storage, energy flows and system integration.The ability to understand a customer’s existing energy system and shape a technically credible preliminary solution around their actual needs.Experience in complex B2B solution sales, either from a sales responsible role or a sales support role.The ability and willingness to run the complete sales process, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing.Commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical performance with investment costs, operating costs, risk and customer value.Confidence in discussions with energy specialists, HVAC designers, engineering consultants, property owners and senior decision-makers.Strong professional communication skills in Finnish and English.A relevant degree in energy technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, HVAC, building services or another applicable technical field.We do not expect you to arrive as an expert in every aspect of deep geothermal technology. We do expect you to understand energy systems deeply, ask the right questions and take increasing ownership of customer-facing technical discussions.Experience or networks in Nordic energy companies, district heating, real estate, housing, industrial energy, engineering consultancy or energy infrastructure are considered a strong advantage. Nordic language skills are seen as a plus.
