Test Engineer

ALTEN is expanding in the automotive industry and we are now looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. Your roleAs a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the functionality, performance, and quality of complex automotive systems. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to test and verify electronic, software, and mechatronic systems in modern vehicles.Your main responsibilities will include:Planning, designing, and executing manual and automated test casesPerforming regression, system, and functional testing in HIL, SIL, and/or vehicle environmentsTroubleshooting and analyzing test results, reporting issues to development teamsCollaborating with developers, system engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliveriesDeveloping and improving test methods and automation frameworksConducting in-vehicle testing with precision and attention to detail Your profileYou have a relevant technical education (e.g. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or similar) and a few years of experience working with testing or verification of complex systems in the automotive field. Experience in manual and automated testingKnowledge of regression and system testingAbility to design and maintain test cases independentlyHands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins and Python (or similar)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in HIL/SIL/vehicle environmentsExcellent English communication skills, written and spokenA valid Swedish or EU driver’s license (vehicle testing may be part of the job)Previous experience within the automotive industry Meritorious ExperienceBackground in test automation and scriptingKnowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)Experience with requirement management tools (SystemWeaver, DOORS, Polarion, or similar) About ALTEN:ALTEN is one of Europe’s largest technology and IT consulting companies with over 60,000 employees in over 30 countries.
