Platform Engineer – VMware / VCF We are looking for experienced Platform Engineers for a long-term remote assignment focused on VMware Cloud Foundation, virtualization, automation, and enterprise platform engineering.Location: RemoteStart: 01.11.2026End: 31.12.2027, with possible extensionLanguage: English C1; German/Dutch are a plus ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain VMware platform components, including clusters, sizing, configuration, and interfacesImplement and manage VMware Cloud Foundation 9, vSphere, vSAN ESA, Management/Workload Domains, and VDI clustersDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible and TerraformManage automated deployments via GitLab CI / GitOpsIntegrate Rubrik backup & recovery and core platform services (AD, PKI, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, NTP)Implement security hardening and compliance baselinesSupport multi-site rollouts, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and handover to operations Requirements3+ years of enterprise VMware SDDC engineering experienceStrong vSphere/vSAN knowledge; VCF experience strongly preferredStrong hands-on Ansible experience – mandatoryPractical experience with Terraform, Git, Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, and CI/CDKnowledge of Windows Server and/or RHEL, Active Directory, PKI, DNS, and DHCPExperience with automated testing, code reviews, and technical documentationEnglish at C1+ level Technology StackVMware Cloud Foundation 9, vSphere 8+, vSAN ESA, SDDC Manager, vLCM, VCF Operations, Ansible/AAP, Terraform, GitLab CI, Nexus, GitOps, Rubrik, HPE infrastructure, Splunk, Windows Server/RHEL, AD, PKI, DDI, NTP, CIS/vendor security baselines.
