Job Description
What is the specific project? Ashoka Germany is looking for a volunteer videomaker to edit and assemble a range of existing video footage — Fellow interviews, event recordings, and other Ashoka Germany material — into a polished, cohesive video (or set of videos) to be featured at our event on October 29th. Our goal is to bring Ashoka's changemakers and their impact to life on screen — turning raw footage into a compelling story that captures why social entrepreneurship matters and inspires everyone in the room (partners, supporters, Fellows, and guests) to see themselves as part of that change. What will you do?
Review and select the strongest moments from raw video/footage provided by the Ashoka Germany team Edit clips into one or more cohesive, well-paced videos with a clear narrative arc Add subtitles/captions, light motion graphics, and music where appropriate Ensure the final cut aligns with Ashoka's visual identity (colors, logo placement, typography) Export the video(s) in the formats needed for the event screen and for post-event social media sharing
Why will your work be important? This video will be a highlight of the event. A great edit can turn a polite round of applause into real action — guests deciding to fund, partner with, or join Ashoka's work. Videos help spread the changemaker's story so it doesn't stay in the room.

Desired Skills And Experience
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut) A strong eye for storytelling and pacing — able to shape raw footage into a narrative, not just a highlight reel Basic motion graphics/subtitle skills a plus Comfortable working independently and meeting a firm deadline (event is October 29th)Interest in social entrepreneurship, changemaking, or nonprofit/mission-driven worGerman and/or English language skills (depending on the video's audience) Attention to brand consistency
