Waitress (Kitchen Helper)

**Job title:** Waitress / Kitchen Helper

We are looking for a motivated and reliable **Waitress / Kitchen Helper** to join our sushi restaurant in Tampere.

Our restaurant serves à la carte sushi, all-you-can-eat sushi and fusion-style sushi. The position involves both customer service and kitchen-support duties, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in different areas of the restaurant.

**Main duties**

• Customer service and serving customers

• Taking customer orders

• Serving food and drinks

• Preparing and maintaining the dining and buffet areas

• Refilling and maintaining the all-you-can-eat sushi buffet

• Packing takeaway and delivery orders

• Clearing and cleaning tables

• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment

• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and restaurant areas

• Basic food and ingredient preparation

• Preparing vegetables and other ingredients

• Assisting sushi chefs and other kitchen staff

• Restocking ingredients and supplies

• Following food-safety and hygiene procedures

• Performing other normal restaurant and kitchen-support duties

The employee must be able to move between customer-service and kitchen duties according to the needs of the restaurant. The work can be fast-paced, particularly during lunch, dinner and weekend service.

**Requirements**

• Good customer-service skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment

• Ability to handle several tasks during the same shift

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to perform both customer-service and kitchen-support duties

• Understanding of basic restaurant hygiene and food safety

• Reliability and punctuality

• Ability to work the shifts required by the restaurant, including \[evenings/weekends, if genuinely required\]

• Hygiene Passport or willingness to obtain one before starting work, if required for the duties

Previous restaurant, customer-service or kitchen experience in Asian restaurant is needed.
