Welder

We are looking for an experienced **Welder** to join our team for shipbuilding and industrial projects.

The role involves fitting, preparing, and welding steel structures and components according to technical drawings and project requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Assembly, fitting, and preparation of steel structures and components before welding
  • Performing tack welding and welding works using MIG/MAG and FCAW processes
  • Setting up and operating AC/DC welding equipment
  • Preparing edges and joints according to welding requirements
  • Reading and following technical drawings, weld symbols, and assembly instructions
  • Checking dimensions, alignment, joint preparation, and overall quality before and after welding
  • Identifying common welding defects and carrying out necessary corrections
  • Controlling welding distortion and applying appropriate techniques to minimize deformation
  • Using measuring and inspection tools during fabrication and installation
  • Working with different types of steel, welding wires, electrodes, and other consumables
  • Ensuring the required surface quality after cutting, fitting, and welding
  • Following occupational safety procedures, including safe use and storage of gas cylinders and welding equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-6 **years of practical experience in ship fitting or similar shipbuilding work**
  • Good practical knowledge of MIG/MAG and FCAW welding
  • Ability to perform tack welding independently
  • Strong understanding of welded joints, seams, edge preparation, and welding symbols
  • Ability to read and understand technical and fabrication drawings
  • Knowledge of common welding defects and methods of preventing and repairing them
  • Experience with measuring and basic quality-control tools
  • Understanding of welding deformation and internal stresses
  • Responsible attitude toward quality and workplace safety
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team
  • Willingness to relocate or transfer to another worksite when required
