WMS Architect

Position Title: WMS Architect – Solution / Technical ArchitectLocation: EMEA – Local/Remote Language Requirements: English + Italian / French / German / Spanish Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced WMS Architects to support multiple concurrent customer programs across the EMEA region. The architects will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions based on customer business and operational requirements. Resources must be locally present within the relevant EMEA region and able to communicate effectively in English plus one of the required regional languages. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and architect WMS solutions based on customer business and operational requirements.Lead WMS solution architecture across warehouse, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment processes.Translate business requirements into scalable and technically viable WMS solutions.Develop solution architecture, integration designs, technical specifications, and implementation approaches.Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, technical teams, and customers.Support WMS implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, deployment, and production rollout.Analyze existing warehouse processes and recommend improvements through WMS capabilities.Design integrations between WMS and enterprise systems such as ERP, TMS, automation systems, APIs, and other logistics platforms.Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and implementation teams.Troubleshoot complex WMS issues and provide architectural recommendations.Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and operational requirements.Support multiple customer programs simultaneously across the EMEA region.Solution Architect ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end WMS solution design.Conduct requirements gathering and business-process analysis.Define functional architecture and solution workflows.Map warehouse operations to WMS capabilities.Lead customer discussions and architecture workshops.Prepare solution designs and implementation roadmaps.Identify gaps and recommend appropriate configurations, customizations, or integrations.Technical Architect ResponsibilitiesLead and facilitate collaborative design sessions with customers. Translating problem statements into business-driven solutions using BY WMS.Expertise in technical configuration of WMS product, Solution Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing, PLSQL, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning.Hands-on Experience on Technical configuration of WMS product (preferably BY/JDA/Red Prairie WMS), Jasper reports, Nice labels/Label Designer, Page builder and MOCA.Knowledge on interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host, TMS, WLM, T&T, Parcel, 3rd party system that integrates with WMS.Knowledge on integration between WMS and Voice / Material Handling / ASRS systemsAbility to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and consultants Required QualificationsStrong experience as a WMS Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect.Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems and warehouse/logistics operations.Experience designing and implementing WMS solutions in enterprise environments.Strong experience with WMS integrations and enterprise application architecture.Excellent stakeholder and customer-facing communication skills.Ability to support multiple projects and work across geographically distributed teams.English proficiency required. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Italian, French, German, or Spanish.Must be locally based/present within the relevant EMEA region.Preferred SkillsExperience with enterprise WMS platforms.Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP or similar systems.Experience with warehouse automation and material-handling systems.API, web services, middleware, and integration architecture experience.
