AI Applied Engineer — PropTech / AI (Remote, UK & Europe) Location: Remote (UK and Europe, able to work UK business hours) Salary: $100K–$150K, based on skills and experience + competitive equity Sponsorship: not available. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in their respective European country (including the UK) The role We're hiring an AI Applied Engineer at a UK-based property management platform that grows by acquiring and integrating independent letting agencies onto a single AI-driven operating system. This role focuses on scaling the company's core AI engine, which automates tenant-finding, property management, and finance workflows across a large, historically manual industry. You'll unify existing AI flows, build a robust evaluation layer, and scale the agentic infrastructure to support the company's ongoing acquisitions. The problem you'd help solve: The UK letting industry runs on fragmented, manual processes across thousands of independent agencies. This company consolidates that fragmentation by acquiring agencies and standardizing them onto a single AI-native platform within a couple of months of each acquisition. As the company keeps acquiring, the AI infrastructure needs to scale cleanly enough to absorb each new integration without rebuilding from scratch every time. You'll work in a small, cross-functional squad with high autonomy and direct ownership, no heavy process, decision-making pushed to whoever's closest to the problem. You'll likely be a fit if you have: 3+ years of experience in software engineeringExperience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and PythonFamiliarity with LLM orchestration and agentic workflowsComfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment Nice to have: Experience in a fast-growing startup, particularly one built through acquisitions or rapid scalingAn entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable thinking about business and customer impact, not just the technical solution What you won't find here: This role won't suit you if you want a large, established engineering org with heavy process.
