TRATON Finance International AB (previously known as Scania Credit AB) one of the captive TRATON Financial Services entities, offers financing and insurance in the Middle East, Central Asia, and West Africa for Scania and MAN brands. TRATON Finance International AB (TFI) has become a leader in factoring solutions for non-captive dealers and body-builders, supporting Scania's and MAN’s goals to offload its balance sheet. We have partnered with external credit insurers to mitigate commercial and political risks in certain transactions. TFI is expanding into new markets, particularly in the AMC (Africa Middle East and Central Asia) region providing both end customer financing and factoring solutions.

Based in Södertälje, the TFI Head Office and Market Support Centre provides governance, strategic development, credit risk management, contract administration, and IT support. With 60 employees, including 40 in Södertälje, we manage around 415 MEUR of assets across 10+ markets.

Role Summary

We are looking for an AML & Sanctions Coordinator to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance team and support TFI’s continued growth across the Middle East, Central Asia, and West Africa. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and related regulatory requirements across multiple markets. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries, providing guidance, coordination, and support in AML and sanctions-related matters.

Job Responsibilities

As AML & Sanctions Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting TFI's compliance framework across multiple international markets. Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinate, support and enhance sanctions and AML-related activities across the organization, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.Perform AML, sanctions (including routes and transported goods), and customer due diligence reviews, identify potential risks, and escalate findings when appropriate.Investigate compliance-related alerts, incidents, and inquiries, providing recommendations and guidance to stakeholders across the business.Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of new requirements, policies, and procedures within the organization.Collaborate closely with colleagues in business operations, credit, legal, and risk functions to strengthen compliance awareness and risk management practices.Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and following up on corrective actions.Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of AML and Sanctions compliance processes, controls, and governance documentation.Provide guidance and day-to-day support to local markets on AML, sanctions, and financial crime prevention matters.Prepare reports, presentations, and management information related to compliance activities, risks, and regulatory initiatives.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and West Africa, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Who You Are

We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who thrives in an international environment and is passionate about Sanctions and AML compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters.

To succeed in this role, you likely have

Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of work experience working within AML, EU Sanctions Compliance, export control function and/or Compliance, combined with relevant experience within financial services.Hands-on experience working with EU and related compliance processes.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management within the financial crime compliance area and roles of first, second and third lines of defense.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, investigate findings, and make well-founded recommendations.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build relationships and collaborate effectively across countries, cultures, and functions.A structured, proactive, and continuously improving mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Professional proficiency in English.

It would be considered an advantage if you also have:

Additional language skills, particularly Russian, given the markets covered by the role. Proficiency in French or Arabic would also be an advantage.Relevant professional certifications or qualifications from ACAMS, ICA, or other recognised providers in AML, financial crime prevention, sanctions, or compliance.Experience and confidence in using the CM1 application, along with extensive experience in transaction monitoring and customer onboarding (KYC).Knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations, together with practical experience applying them, particularly Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014.
