Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer 🌍 Remote across Europe💰 Up to €120,000💼 Permanent or B2B contract🗣 Professional English essential We're hiring a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer for a growing European GreenTech business that is making a significant investment in AI across its technology platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build real production AI, with the freedom to explore new approaches while still being responsible for making them reliable enough to use at scale. There are two backgrounds that could work particularly well for this position. 🧠 Machine Learning Engineer You may come from a strong ML background and enjoy tackling prediction and optimisation problems using large, complex datasets. Your experience could include: Python and modern ML frameworksDeep learningPredictive modelling and forecastingTraining and improving modelsFeature engineeringExperiment design and model evaluationDeploying ML into productionMonitoring and improving model performance over time 🤖 AI Engineer Alternatively, you may be a strong software engineer who has specialised in the newer generation of AI applications. Your experience could include: LLMs and LLM APIsAI agents and agentic workflowsRAG and retrievalEmbeddingsTool/function callingStructured outputsAI evaluation and observabilityBuilding scalable backend services around AI You don't need to be an expert in both profiles. The team is interested in someone with genuine depth in either ML or AI engineering, provided you're comfortable building software that ultimately needs to work in production. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of technically challenging AI/ML problems and have room to determine the best way to solve them. Projects could involve predictive ML, intelligent automation, generative AI, multimodal systems, data enrichment and AI-assisted decision making. You'll be involved beyond the experimentation stage, helping turn promising approaches into dependable features that can be used as part of a commercial software product. You'll also have the opportunity to experiment with emerging models and techniques where they can create a meaningful improvement, rather than adopting new technology simply because it's new.
