Azure AI Platform Architect – Enterprise AI Platform Programme B2B / Freelance assignment | 100% Remote in Europe Our client is launching a major initiative to design and enhance an enterprise‑wide Azure AI platform that will support AI capabilities, maturity, and governance across the organisation. They are looking for an experienced Azure AI Platform Architect to help deliver the next phase of the roadmap, working closely with the existing platform team. The role focuses on building and evolving the core Azure AI platform, not individual AI use cases, ensuring the environment is scalable, secure, and aligned with Microsoft’s latest AI technologies. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and enhancement of the enterprise Azure AI platform, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Agent 365, Fabric AI, and related Microsoft AI components.Translate customer requirements into platform capabilities, standards, and architectural patterns.Define processes, governance, maturity models, and enterprise‑wide AI enablement frameworks.Provide hands‑on architectural guidance and review development work delivered by the internal team.Recommend and evaluate new Microsoft AI features and capabilities for adoption within the platform.Collaborate with cloud, DevSecOps, and application teams to ensure alignment across the wider technology landscape.Support onboarding, configuration, and operational readiness of the AI platform. Required ExperienceStrong experience as an Azure AI or Azure ML Architect, designing enterprise AI platforms or cloud‑based AI capabilities.Deep knowledge of Microsoft AI services: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Agent 365, Fabric AI, Cognitive Services.Solid understanding of Azure cloud architecture, identity, networking, governance, and security.Experience working in platform‑focused roles (not only use‑case development).Ability to work collaboratively with internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders.Strong communication skills and the ability to define standards, processes, and platform maturity frameworks.
