RDT is looking for an experienced Battery Software Engineer to join an automotive engineering assignment focused on battery software, energy management, charging and control systems.You will work across system design, model-based development, requirements engineering, calibration and data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. What you will work withDevelopment and calibration of battery and energy-management softwareMATLAB/Simulink-based model developmentControl algorithms and energy optimisationHigh-voltage battery systems and power managementState-of-charge estimation and related battery control functionsRequirements engineering and system designCalibration and data analysisDevelopment activities using INCA, CANalyzer and Vector toolsSoftware development and collaboration using Azure DevOps and GitCross-functional product development within the automotive sectorDevelopment in accordance with ASPICE and ISO 26262 What we are looking for8+ years of relevant professional experience in battery software, energy management, charging systems, control systems or a closely related areaMaster's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or another relevant engineering disciplineStrong hands-on experience with MATLAB/SimulinkPractical experience with INCA, CANalyzer and Vector toolsSolid understanding of system design, model-based development, requirements engineering, calibration and data analysisStrong knowledge of control algorithms, high-voltage battery systems, power management and state-of-charge estimationProfessional experience from automotive product developmentExperience working with ASPICE and ISO 26262Experience with Azure DevOps and GitAbility to work effectively across software, systems and other engineering functionsMeritoriousElectrical safety certification for high-voltage systemsAdditional experience within battery management systems, charging or energy optimisation
