Business Development Manager - Remote I’m working with a specialist CDMO looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support international growth. This is a technical commercial role suited to someone with a strong understanding of viral vectors, vaccines and related biopharmaceutical products, who can confidently engage customers around both the science and commercial opportunity. The roleDevelop new business with biotech and pharmaceutical customersIdentify, qualify and progress opportunities through to project awardSell specialist CDMO development and manufacturing servicesBuild relationships with CMC, R&D, Technical Operations and manufacturing stakeholdersUnderstand customer programmes and translate technical requirements into relevant solutionsWork closely with internal scientific, process development, manufacturing and project teamsRepresent the business at conferences, industry events and customer meetingsMonitor market trends and emerging technologies and feed commercial insight back into the businessManage and develop an international sales pipeline About youProven BD, commercial or account management experience within a CDMOStrong technical understanding of viral vectors, vaccines or related modalitiesExperience selling scientific, technical or manufacturing servicesComfortable discussing scientific and development concepts with customersStrong new-business and relationship-building skillsCommercially agile and comfortable working in a smaller, entrepreneurial environmentAble to work autonomously while collaborating closely with technical teamsInternational experience is advantageousA scientific degree is required; PhD highly advantageous This is a broad commercial role combining business development, technical customer engagement and market development, with the opportunity to work closely with scientific and technical teams.
