Co-founder (Bio-composites and Circular Innovation)

Plectex is a green-tech startup bridging the gap between the textile and plastics industries. Using our patent-pending process, we upcycle textile waste into high-performance bio-composites to drive the transition toward sustainable materials.As we enter our next phase of development, we are seeking a Co-Founder to join our journey.Areas of Expertise (at least one):Bio-compositesMaterial chemistryPolymer scienceSustainable materialsTextilesEquity & Compensation:This is an equity-only role (via direct share purchase or sweat equity). No initial salary is offered until external funding is secured.Full-time commitment is not required initially, allowing you to combine this with research or other work. However, you are expected to take full ownership and deliver on agreed operational milestones.Must-Have Criteria:PhD and proven research background in one of the fields above.Must hold an EU citizenship.Ability to work both operatively (hands-on) and strategically.Willingness to travel to Sweden regularly (full-time relocation to Sweden is not required).Nice-to-Have Criteria:Prior startup experience.Track record of commercializing material science innovations.
