Commissioning Manager - Electrical Substation/HV Power

Global Commissioning is expanding across Europe and we're looking for experienced Electrical Commissioning Managers to lead the commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure on major engineering projects.

Whilst data centre experience is advantageous, it is not essential.

We're particularly interested in professionals from:

High Voltage (HV) SubstationsTransmission & DistributionUtilitiesPower GenerationRenewable EnergyIndustrial or Heavy Electrical Infrastructure

If you've managed complex electrical commissioning programmes and have a strong understanding of critical power systems, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead the planning, coordination and delivery of commissioning activities from design through to final client handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Leading electrical commissioning activities through Levels 2–5Managing commissioning programmes and project documentationReviewing test procedures, commissioning scripts and technical documentationCoordinating FATs, SATs and functional testingManaging multidisciplinary commissioning teams and subcontractorsChairing commissioning meetings with clients and stakeholdersIdentifying and mitigating commissioning risksSupporting integrated systems testing and project handoverProducing commissioning reports and ensuring successful client acceptance

What We're Looking For

Essential

Strong background in Electrical CommissioningExperience delivering HV/MV electrical infrastructure projectsPrevious experience within substations, transmission & distribution, utilities, power generation or similar critical electrical environmentsExcellent understanding of electrical protection, switching philosophies and commissioning processesExperience managing commissioning teams and client relationshipsHNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualificationCSCS, ECS, Safe Pass or equivalent

Desirable

Data Centre commissioning experienceExperience of integrated systems testingDegree in Electrical EngineeringPrince2 or equivalent project qualification
