Crane & Mission Equipment Director – Offshore Wind Installation Dajin Heavy Industry is looking for an experienced Crane & Mission Equipment Director to support the development of our next-generation offshore wind foundation installation capabilities.This is a senior technical role focused on the definition, specification, integration and delivery of the main crane and mission equipment systems for offshore wind foundation installation vessels. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical definition, equipment selection and system integration of the main crane and mission equipment, including monopile grippers, pile upending systems, lifting spreaders and deck handling equipment.Own and manage the technical interfaces between the crane, gripper, upending system, deck equipment, hull structure, DP/control systems and other vessel systems.Develop and review technical requirements and specifications, ensuring equipment is designed for safe, efficient and reliable offshore installation operations.Work closely with equipment suppliers, design houses, shipyards and classification societies throughout design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.Review and challenge supplier technical solutions, calculations and engineering documentation.Lead or support technical evaluations, supplier selection, FAT, HAZID/FMEA, commissioning, performance testing and offshore acceptance.Drive continuous improvement of mission equipment with a focus on installation efficiency, reliability, maintainability and lifecycle cost. What We're Looking ForWe are particularly interested in candidates with:Strong technical experience in offshore wind installation vessels, heavy-lift vessels or comparable offshore construction vessels.Direct experience with large offshore cranes and mission equipment used for monopile/foundation installation.Demonstrable experience personally defining, specifying, engineering or integrating equipment such as monopile grippers, upending systems, lifting systems or deck handling equipment.Strong understanding of the interfaces between mission equipment, vessel motions/DP, structural systems and installation methodology.Experience managing technical packages and working directly with major equipment suppliers/OEMs.Experience across the equipment lifecycle, ideally including technical specifications/RFQs, design reviews, FAT, commissioning and offshore acceptance.Experience working with shipyards and classification societies.Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively across international engineering teams.
