Data Analytics – EU RegionLocation: European UnionWork Arrangement: Remote We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Data Analytics role focused on analysing business data, developing meaningful insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across business functions. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and potential business risks.Collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business performance monitoring.Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights.Perform exploratory and descriptive analysis to understand business performance and customer behaviour.Develop and monitor key performance indicators and business metrics.Conduct root-cause analysis to identify factors affecting business performance.Prepare regular and ad-hoc analytical reports for business and operational stakeholders.Use statistical techniques to identify relationships, trends, and meaningful patterns within datasets.Build automated reporting and analytical workflows to improve efficiency and data accessibility.Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, data needs, and analytical objectives.Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Teams, and other stakeholders.Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and analytical workflows.Perform data reconciliation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.Support forecasting, performance analysis, segmentation, and business planning activities.Develop reusable analytical models, reports, and dashboards.Document analytical methodologies, reporting processes, data sources, and business logic.Ensure appropriate handling of data in accordance with relevant organisational policies and data protection requirements.Stay informed about emerging analytics technologies, tools, and best practices. Required Qualifications and SkillsDegree or equivalent qualification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.Strong Excel skills, including experience with advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modelling, and reporting.Experience with data visualisation and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Understanding of statistical analysis and data interpretation.Experience with data cleaning, transformation, validation, and preparation.Ability to work with large and complex datasets.Strong understanding of KPIs, business metrics, and performance reporting.Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations.Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams. Preferred SkillsExperience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or similar business intelligence platforms.Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.Experience with advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimisation.Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.Experience working with Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, or similar data warehouses.Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling concepts.Experience developing automated dashboards and reporting solutions.Familiarity with ETL and ELT processes and data integration concepts.Understanding of statistical modelling, forecasting, regression, and hypothesis testing.Experience with customer, financial, operational, marketing, or product analytics.Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental analysis.Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise business systems.Experience working with APIs and integrating data from multiple sources.Knowledge of data governance, data quality, privacy, and security principles.Familiarity with Git, version control, and Agile working practices.Experience working with cloud-based analytics and business intelligence environments.Ability to identify opportunities for reporting automation and process improvement.Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts and their applications in business analytics.
