Data Scientist
Role: Data Scientist Location: Malmo, SEType: Contract Job Description:Preparing, analyzing, and validating product, pricing, sales, and market data.Developing product similarity and competitiveness metrics.Applying data science and econometric methods, including price elasticity, demand analysis, price sensitivity, and forecasting.Assessing the impact of price changes on sales, revenue, and margins.Supporting proactive price monitoring by identifying relevant market and competitor price changes.Developing indicators, anomaly detection methods, and alerts to highlight potential risks and opportunities.Translating analytical findings into actionable business insights.Collaborating with business, data, and technology stakeholders.Supporting testing, automation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.Contributing to the implementation and onboarding of new markets by validating local data, configuring analytical outputs, and resolving implementation issues. Key responsibilities will include:Developing, testing, and validating analytical models and methodologies.Monitoring data quality, model performance, and analytical outputs.Investigating significant price and market changes and identifying potential drivers.Applying statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques to generate insights.Supporting proactive monitoring through anomaly detection, indicators, and alerts.Validating data and analytical outputs when onboarding new markets.Troubleshooting data and implementation issues.Collaborating with data, technology, and business teams to deliver analytical solutions.Participating in stakeholder meetings and presenting findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Gathering feedback and incorporating it into analytical solutions.Supporting testing, automation, documentation, and knowledge transfer. RequirementsDesired Knowledge, Experience, Competencies, and SkillsStrong knowledge of data science, statistics, and econometrics, including price elasticity, demand modelling, price sensitivity, and forecasting.Experience analysing pricing, sales, product, customer, and market data.Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including data preparation, modelling, validation, and automation.Knowledge of machine learning and product or market similarity methods.Understanding of data quality management, monitoring, experimentation, and model performance evaluation.Experience with data visualisation and communicating analytical results through dashboards, reports, and presentations.Familiarity with proactive price monitoring, anomaly detection, alerts, and identifying market or competitor price changes.Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business, technology, and data teams.Experience supporting market/country onboarding, including local data validation and analytical configuration.Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
