Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dentist (hammaslääkäri) role based in Helsinki. The dentist will perform comprehensive examinations, diagnose oral health issues, and develop treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include restorative treatments (such as fillings and crowns), preventive care, basic endodontic and periodontal procedures, and routine check-ups. The role involves counseling patients on oral hygiene, documenting clinical findings accurately, and collaborating with dental assistants and other team members to ensure safe, efficient care. The dentist will also contribute to maintaining clinical protocols, infection control standards, and a positive patient experience. Qualifications Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a dentist (hammaslääkäri) in Finland and completion of an accredited dental degree.Clinical competence in general dentistry, including diagnostics, restorative care, preventive treatments, and basic endodontic and periodontal procedures.Strong patient communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and provide empathetic, person-centered care.Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment, collaborating with dental assistants and other oral health professionals.Commitment to infection control, occupational safety, and adherence to local healthcare regulations and ethical standards.Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, including learning new techniques and using modern dental technologies.Proficiency in Finnish or willingness to achieve working proficiency; additional language skills (e.g., English or Swedish) are an advantage.Previous experience in a clinical dental setting is preferred, but motivated early-career professionals are also encouraged to apply.
