We are looking for 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝘂𝗽 experts. You'll build driver bring-up and SDK migration tasks around a microcontroller or SoC peripheral you have brought up, so a leading AI company can measure how well models handle real embedded engineering problems. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:Location: Gothenburg Working model: HybridStart date: ASAPEmployment type: Freelance – hourly rate: $70–$90 (paid per accepted task) 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:Build a benchmark environment around a microcontroller or SoC peripheral you have brought up – CAN controller, ADC, SPI or I2C device, timer or DMAInclude the reference manual chapters and errata sheet, the device datasheet, the vendor SDK at two release versions, the driver code, and a QEMU board model or recorded register access logsSet up the tools the work needs – cross-compiler, QEMU, git, Python, PDF toolsWrite five or more tasks, each built on a bring-up or SDK migration problem (e.g. ADC readings that drift after moving to the next SDK release, SPI flash writes that corrupt one page in a thousand because of an errata item, a CAN controller that drops frames after waking from low-power mode)Frame each task so the model must write or fix the driver and produce answer.json with the register values and the order they are set inWrite a hidden marking script that builds the code, runs it on QEMU, compares the register write sequence with your reference trace and checks the delays between writes, scoring 0.0 to 1.0Design tasks that turn on an errata entry or a change between the two SDK versionsSupply your own answer (scoring 1.0) and a naive answer a competent engineer might give first (scoring below 0.3) 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:Hands-on experience bringing up microcontroller or SoC peripherals – CAN, ADC, SPI, I2C, timers or DMAStrong low-level driver development skills, including register-level configuration and initialisation sequencesAble to work from reference manuals, errata sheets and device datasheetsExperience migrating drivers between vendor SDK releasesComfortable with cross-compilers, QEMU and gitPython skills to write automated marking scripts 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀:Press "Apply"We will review your applicationIf qualified, you will be accepted into the network and can be considered for this and similar positions & projects We can only accept candidates that are willing to work as individual contractors / freelancers.
