Embedded Developer
We are now looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer for an exciting consulting assignment at our client, a leading company that develops advanced safety-critical systems. Here you will have the opportunity to work with modern technology in an agile development environment where quality, security and innovation are in focus.About the assignmentAs an Embedded Software Developer, you will develop and maintain embedded software for advanced and safety-critical systems. The role involves close collaboration with both software and hardware teams to ensure robust, reliable and secure solutions according to requirements-based development processes.Your main tasks include:Design, development and further development of embedded software for different platforms and architectures.Programming of well-structured, efficient and documented code according to DO-178.Integration of software with hardware in collaboration with hardware engineers.Participation in requirements analysis and traceability to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.Testing, troubleshooting and verification of software to ensure function, performance and reliability.Contribute to the development and improvement of requirements-based development processes.Active participation in an agile working method with sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.Follow the technical development in embedded development for safety-critical systems.To be relevant for the assignment, we see that you have:3–12 years of experience in embedded development or similar role.Experience in development for safety-critical systems.Very good knowledge of C and Python.Experience in embedded systems, microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).Knowledge of DO-178 and requirements-based development processes.Experience in version control, preferably Git and/or Dimensions.Experience in agile development methods, such as Agile or Scrum.Good problem-solving skills and a high sense of quality and detail.Good collaboration and communication skills.Relevant college or university education in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.MeritoriousExperience in safety-critical software development in the aerospace, defense or medical technology industries.Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for safety-critical systems.Experience in hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog.Experience in Embedded Linux or other embedded operating systems.Experience in model-based development, such as MATLAB/Simulink.Other informationAssignment period: 2026-11-01 – 2027-06-30.Possibility of extension: Yes.Language: SwedishWork model: The assignment is carried out at one of the customer's locations.Location: Linköping, Jönköping, Gothenburg, Stockholm or another of the customer's sites.Background check: Background check is carried out before the start of the assignment.Welcome to your application for a developing consulting assignment where you will work with advanced technology and contribute to the development of future safety-critical systems.
