Role Summary An Embedded Engineer is needed for a product-focused engineering assignment involving system and software development. The role spans the embedded development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and concept development through system integration, software implementation, testing, troubleshooting and verification. The work is closely connected to the product and combines rapid prototyping with the delivery of robust, production-ready solutions. Projects vary in size and technical scope, with multiple initiatives potentially running in parallel. The assignment involves short development cycles, investigation of technical issues, adaptation of existing systems, and maturing early concepts and prototypes into implemented solutions. Key Responsibilities Contribute to embedded system and software development throughout the development lifecycle. Translate requirements and early concepts into implementable embedded solutions. Develop, adapt and integrate embedded software and system functionality. Support system integration activities across vehicle functions, electronics and embedded platforms. Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, analysis and verification of embedded systems. Use test rigs and representative test environments to validate functionality when required. Investigate existing systems and contribute to technical improvements and product adaptations. Collaborate closely with engineers from multiple technical disciplines in a fast-paced product development environment.

Technical Stack & Requirements Embedded software and system development experience. CAN communication experience. System integration involving electronics, vehicle functions or complex embedded platforms. Embedded testing, verification and troubleshooting. Experience working with vehicle architecture is advantageous. Diagnostics experience is beneficial. Experience with electrification is considered an advantage. Familiarity with established automotive development processes and engineering systems is beneficial.

Qualifications & Experience A master's degree in mechatronics, physics, computer science, or another relevant technical discipline is required. Candidates should have practical experience in embedded software development and/or embedded system development, along with exposure to vehicle functions, electronics or system integration. The ideal consultant brings a hands-on engineering approach, enjoys investigating technical problems, and is comfortable working across a broad range of embedded technologies. Automotive industry experience, including complex vehicle architectures and established engineering processes, is advantageous.
