Engineering Manager

We’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to help drive this change — a people leadership role for someone who hasn’t stopped being an engineer at heart. What You’ll Do Lead and grow the people · Own teams. Take responsibility for up to ~15 engineers, manage performance, growth and wellbeing. · Coach and develop. Run high-quality 1:1s and genuinely help move careers forward. · Set the tone. Build a culture where engineers feel safe, trusted and motivated to do their best work. Own delivery, end to end · Ship reliably. Support your teams in delivering high-quality software, balancing technical excellence and time to market. · Push ownership outward. Help drive the shift to teams owning their software all the way to production. · Connect the dots. Work closely with R&D, Product Management and other stakeholders to stay aligned. Help lead the transformation · Change how we work. Be a key contributor to Tacton’s organizational vision and ways of working in the emerging world of AI-native software development. What We’re Looking For · Proven experience leading 10+ engineers, with the full spectrum of people management: hiring, coaching, performance, career development. · A genuine technical background, able to engage credibly with engineers. · Experience driving real organizational change in engineering teams, not just observing it. · Practical experience with AI in software engineering, at both developer and leadership level. · Experience from companies of comparable scale to Tacton — navigating complexity without big-enterprise resources. · Strong communication skills, with real empathy and a low-friction, high-trust style. · Strategic and business-minded, comfortable making trade-offs in ambiguous situations.
