Head of Environment, Health, and Safety

A leading international organisation is seeking a Head of Environment, Health, and Safety Europe to provide strategic leadership across a complex, multi-country operation.Operating across multiple European markets, the business supports a large, geographically dispersed workforce, including employees working across customer sites, project locations, operational facilities and field-based environments. The successful candidate will therefore bring experience leading HSE within organisations where safety, risk management and compliance must be effectively managed across remote and mobile workforces, often spanning multiple jurisdictions and cultures. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the European HSE strategy, partnering with senior business leaders to drive a strong safety culture, improve organisational capability and ensure consistent standards across diverse operational environments. The role requires an individual who can balance strategic leadership with practical operational engagement, influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and driving sustainable improvements in performance. Candidate ProfileSignificant HSE leadership experience within a complex multinational organisation.Experience operating across Europe or EMEA with responsibility for multiple countries.Proven experience supporting field-based, operational, engineering, industrial, service or project-based workforces.Demonstrated success leading HSE strategy within geographically dispersed organisations.Strong understanding of governance, compliance, risk management and organisational change.Experience influencing senior stakeholders within a matrix environment.Proven ability to lead and develop international HSE teams.Degree qualified and/or professionally accredited in a relevant discipline.Fluent English plus at least one additional European language.
