Business Unit Ground Combat is undergoing a period of significant growth and transformation, with ambitious plans for the future. To meet increasing demands from customers, the market, and our operations, we must continue to strengthen our quality capabilities and ensure that quality remains an integral part of how we lead, develop, and operate our business.

We are now looking for a Head of Quality who will take overall responsibility for further developing our quality management capabilities and contribute to creating the conditions for high delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term success. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership, business development, and quality management in an organization where high standards and continuous improvement are essential to achieving success.

As a member of the Business Support Management Team, you will play a key role in strengthening and developing Ground Combat's capabilities for the future.

The position is based in Karlskoga, and requires regular presence on-site to support close collaboration with the business and stakeholders.

Your Role

As Head of Quality, you will be responsible for leading and developing quality management within Business Unit Ground Combat. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that quality is embedded in business governance, decision-making, and daily operations, while also contributing to the organization's ability to consistently deliver high-quality results over time.

You will lead a team of Quality Managers and Quality Coordinators, working closely with senior management, line managers, and other functions across the business. The role combines strategic responsibility with operational engagement. You will drive the development of the business unit's quality capabilities and ensure that processes, ways of working, and governance structures support both current business objectives and long-term growth.

Your main responsibilities will include

Leading and developing the business unit's quality organization Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), processes, and ways of working Managing internal and external audits, as well as Management Reviews Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting quality-related performance indicators and results Driving quality improvement initiatives based on data, risk assessments, and business needs Supporting managers across the organization in quality-related matters and promoting a proactive quality culture Coordinating quality activities across different product areas and international operations

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced quality professional who is motivated by creating structure, clarity, and sustainable results within a complex business environment. To succeed in this role, you have extensive experience in advanced quality management and a solid understanding of how quality leadership, governance, and process management contribute to overall business performance.

As a leader, you are confident, clear, and inclusive. You build trust through your presence, responsiveness, and consistency, while also having the courage to challenge established ways of working when necessary. You thrive in a collaborative environment with many stakeholders and enjoy working with specialists, managers, and leadership teams to create alignment and drive organizational development.

You have the ability to translate requirements, analysis, and business needs into tangible improvements and sustainable results. With a strategic mindset, you can see the bigger picture and understand long-term business needs, while also being comfortable diving into operational details when required. Through your engagement, leadership, and experience, you contribute to the continuous development of people, processes, and business performance.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
