Indirect Procurement Specialist

RDT is looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Specialist with a strong IT Category and strategic sourcing background to support a strategic project for one of our clients in the energy sector.The assignment focuses on IT-related indirect procurement activities required to support a major transformation and carve-out programme, including supplier selection, sourcing, contracting and mobilisation.Main responsibilitiesConduct IT category and supplier-market scans covering required services and capabilities.Translate business, IT, architecture, security and transition requirements into practical sourcing strategies, supplier criteria and procurement plans.Prepare, coordinate and issue RFI, RFQ and RFP documentation together with Business, IT, Legal, Security and Procurement stakeholders.Plan and manage procurement milestones, dependencies and decisions in line with the integrated IT roadmap.Develop evaluation criteria, commercial models and scoring structures and coordinate transparent supplier evaluations.Support supplier shortlisting, clarification meetings, negotiations and commercial recommendations.Coordinate contracting activities and support supplier onboarding, mobilisation and handover.Maintain an overview of supplier selection status, timelines, commercial assumptions, risks and decisions.Provide procurement input to programme reporting, budget discussions and Steering Committee decision material.Support coordination with the existing and future procurement organisation.Provide advice and support on procurement, contracts and sourcing-related matters. Required experience and skills5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement, IT Procurement or IT Category Management.Strong experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, preferably within IT services.Proven experience managing RFI, RFQ and RFP processes from preparation through supplier evaluation and selection.Experience with commercial negotiations, supplier evaluation and contract-related activities.Ability to translate business and technical requirements into sourcing strategies and procurement plans.Strong stakeholder management skills across IT, Business, Legal, Security and Procurement.Excellent analytical, organisational and structuring skills, with a strong focus on transparency and auditability.Pragmatic and delivery-oriented, with the ability to balance procurement governance and compliance with demanding programme timelines.Comfortable working independently and in multidisciplinary programme environments.High integrity and sound judgement when handling commercially sensitive and confidential information.Relevant university/college degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, IT or equivalent professional experience.
