Are you passionate about driving innovation from concept to prototype? HARTING Technology Group is seeking a dynamic Innovation Engineer to join our Innovation Hub in Göteborg. You’ll play a key role in initiating and executing early-phase innovation projects, collaborating across disciplines, and shaping the future of technology in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate, develop, and drive innovation projects from business case to prototype (TRL 5-6)Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including universities and research institutesCommunicate ideas effectively through images, texts, and logical flowsTransition projects to product development for industrialization and market launchWork transparently and inclusively, sharing information and engaging teams

Qualifications & Experience

MSc/PhD/BSc (or equivalent) with relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial economics, or similarProven experience in product development and early-phase innovationProject management experience (sub-projects in large companies acceptable)Ideally a background in automotive, but experience from highway, industrial automation or energy systems also valuableStrong communication skills (written and spoken) in Swedish and English. German language is a plusWillingness to travel (Sweden and Europe)Experience in international environments and interdisciplinary collaborationExperience with innovation methodologies (Lean Start-up, design thinking, SCAMPER)Familiarity with CAD, 3D-printing, simulations/analysis is a plusExperience from project execution with both agile and WF methodologiesSolutions-oriented and able to look for opportunities and reliable ways forward
