Are you an experienced hands-on Lead Developer with strong expertise in the eCommerce domain? In this role, you'll bring extensive knowledge and practical experience to the team, helping evaluate, implement, and scale leading headless commerce platforms.

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our Elisa Consumer Webshop development team.

We expect you to actively contribute to development alongside the team. In this role, you will help develop Elisa’s consumer webshop, elisa.fi/kauppa. Our technology stack is diverse: while Java and React remain our primary technologies, we are evolving our architecture towards a composable, headless commerce approach.

As a Lead Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design flexible, robust, and scalable webshop solutions. You will work closely with architects and development teams to drive technical direction, coordinate implementation, and provide guidance that ensures high-quality, maintainable outcomes.

Together with the team, you will refine new features, break requirements into manageable user stories, maintain and improve the codebase, conduct code reviews, and contribute to test automation and DevOps practices. We continuously experiment, analyze data, and develop new capabilities with a strong customer focus.

We see generative AI as an important part of modern software development, and experience or interest in applying GenAI tools in day-to-day development work is considered an asset.

You will join a talented and multicultural team that values collaboration, agile ways of working, and high-quality software engineering. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy working closely with others, mentoring fellow developers, and providing constructive feedback through code reviews. We expect you to understand the importance of testing and documentation as integral parts of software development.

You are curious, proactive, and eager to understand both the codebase and the broader technical landscape. You take ownership of challenges, drive solutions forward, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
