What You’ll Do

Act as a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for making, innovating, documenting, and testing mechanical designs of UPS systems and accessories.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Designer in R&D projects, you will be responsible for:

Sheet metal, die cast, and injection mold designMaterial design and surface treatment selectionProduct cost optimizationDFSS tool utilizationDesign for maintainabilityDesign for safetyCable and harness designSpecifying prototypes and building them hands onDocumenting mechanical, harness, and assembly (BOM) designsAnalyzing and solving product issuesProviding technical support on UPS systems to Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical EngineeringUp to 5 years of mechanical design experience

Skills

Basic understanding of material properties & manufacturing methods.Good verbal and written communications in English.Prior experince working with 3D CAD software.Ability to work in a project team under moderate guidance.
