About the roleExeger is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Industrialisation department.The Industrialisation department is where they design and develop the machines, equipment, and processes that power Exeger's production. This is a small, tight-knit team with a clear goal: modernise and expand Exeger's range of production machinery.You will take ownership of mechanical designs from concept through implementation and commissioning, and collaborate closely with mechatronics, software, and process engineers across the organisation. The work is hands-on at times: you may spend a long time theorising, but should also be ready to assemble things yourself and run your own tests. What the role involvesDesigning, developing, and improving production machinery and automation solutionsTaking ownership of mechanical designs from concept through implementation and commissioningCreating and maintaining 2D and 3D designs and documentation in SolidWorksDeveloping specifications, test plans, and verification methods for machines and equipmentCollaborating with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleDriving continuous improvements in equipment performance, reliability, and maintainabilityLaying the groundwork for automation and data collection, working closely with mechatronics and software engineers on the interfaceContributing to the development of engineering standards, best practices, and ways of working within Production Engineering Who are you?To be successful in this role, we believe that you have:Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentMinimum five years of experience designing production machinery and automating processes in large-scale manufacturing environmentsExperience taking a design from concept to implementation, including supplier collaboration, purchasing, and machine build activitiesFamiliarity with PDM and CAD systems, preferably SolidWorksUnderstanding of how machines work and comfort working at the interface with automation/PLC programming, without needing to program PLCs yourselfProfessional fluency in spoken and written English Meriting experienceExperience in industrial automationStrength and heat transfer calculationsExperience building custom or first-of-a-kind machinery and equipmentSwedish language skillsProject or technical leadership experience Personal qualitiesExeger places strong emphasis on personality and cultural fit.
