Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centres | FinlandFinland | Major Data Centre Development | Client Side / PMC | On Site I’m looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a major data centre development in Finland, working with a new client on the delivery of complex, mission critical infrastructure. The key here is total mechanical package ownership. I’m not looking for someone who has only managed one element of the mechanical scope or who is purely an HVAC specialist. You need to understand how the complete mechanical package comes together and be capable of driving it from a client and project delivery perspective. What will you be doing?• Take ownership of the mechanical package across the project• Manage mechanical contractors, vendors and key interfaces• Drive programme, quality, progress and technical delivery across the full mechanical scope• Coordinate closely with electrical, CSA, controls and commissioning teams• Review design and constructability issues and ensure they are resolved effectively on site• Track risks, dependencies and programme constraints and drive them through to resolution• Challenge contractor performance and maintain accountability against key milestones• Support testing, commissioning, completion and final handover• Represent the client's interests throughout delivery What am I looking for? You will need proven data centre experience and a strong track record of managing mechanical packages on complex projects. Crucially, your experience needs to extend beyond one mechanical discipline. I’m looking for someone who understands and can take responsibility for the complete mechanical package, its interfaces and its impact on the wider data centre programme. You'll be technically credible, delivery focused and comfortable working directly with contractors, consultants and senior client stakeholders. Professional English is essential. The preference is for someone who can be on site in Finland five days per week, although you don't need to be based there currently. Relocation or weekly travel can be considered.
