The expected project start date is January 2027.We are looking for Media Monitoring Specialists based in one of the following countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, or Lithuania. The role focuses on monitoring local media and news sources and identifying relevant content for further editorial processing. A strong understanding of the local political, cultural, and media landscape is essential to accurately assess the relevance and context of the information identified. ResponsibilitiesMonitor assigned local media sources, including news websites, newspapers, and other relevant media channels, using the tools that we provide.Identify and select relevant news items and media content based on defined criteria.Assess the relevance and context of selected content, taking into account the local political, social, and cultural environment.Ensure accurate and timely selection of content for further editorial processing.Prepare and organise selected items for the editorial workflow.Follow defined guidelines and quality standards when reviewing and selecting content. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Languages, or a related field.Native-level proficiency in the local language of the country where you are based.Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in media monitoring, journalism, communications, media, research, content analysis, or a related field.Strong knowledge of the local media landscape and current political and cultural context.Strong interest in local and international political and social affairs.Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify relevant information from a large volume of content.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow established guidelines and processes and work outside standard working hours.Previous experience working with international organisations or EU-related projects would be considered an advantage.
