What You’ll Do

Right now, we are looking for an Operational Purchaser to join our team in Boden. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring a reliable, efficient, and scalable purchasing flow to support our growing operations.

At Stegra, we are building a high-performing procurement function where speed, quality, and reliability are critical. You will help ensure that everything we buy flows seamlessly from requisition to payment, while also contributing to improving how we work.

We are continuously working to develop and improve our processes, flows, and level of automation, with the ambition to create a lean and highly efficient setup. As we are still in a ramp-up phase, the role will include hands-on administrative and operational tasks in the day-to-day work.

Execute the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process with accuracy and efficiencyManage purchasing activities including purchase requisitions, RFQs, purchase orders, and goods/service receipt handlingMonitor pricing, manage 3-way match deviations, and support issue resolutionFollow up on suppliers and deliveries to ensure reliable executionIdentify opportunities to improve flow efficiency, reduce cycle times, and increase automationCollaborate closely with internal stakeholders across operations, sourcing, category management, and finance, as well as with suppliersSupport the development of transparent and data-driven procurement processesGuide stakeholders in applying effective and lean procurement practicesWork across both Direct and Indirect purchasing categories

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below

Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldExperience in operational procurement/ purchasing, or supply chain execution, preferably within industry or manufacturingGood understanding of end-to-end purchasing processes (P2P)Experience working in ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyKnowledge of sustainable procurement practices is an advantage

Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat.

By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable plant in Boden, Northern Sweden - currently under construction.
