Oracle ERP Platform Owner / Technical Leader We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Platform Owner / Technical Leader to take overall technical ownership of a large-scale Oracle ERP platform.This is a long-term contract role for someone who has hands-on experience leading and structuring enterprise Oracle environments, rather than a traditional Project Manager or delivery-focused Solution Architect.The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the Oracle platform, multiple delivery and support teams, platform architecture, integrations, engineering practices and the wider Oracle vendor landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesOracle Platform LeadershipTake overall technical ownership of the Oracle ERP platform and its long-term technical direction.Establish and maintain the appropriate platform architecture, technical standards and governance.Ensure the Oracle platform is scalable, supportable, resilient and structured for long-term enterprise use.Identify and prioritise foundational platform improvements alongside business-driven functional requirements.Develop a clear roadmap for improving the maturity of the Oracle technology estate.Establish appropriate technical governance across Oracle delivery, support, integrations and architecture.Technical Team LeadershipLead and coordinate multiple Oracle technical and delivery teams.Provide direction across Oracle delivery, configuration, support, engineering and platform architecture teams.Determine the most effective structure for Oracle delivery teams, whether organised by module, capability, product, platform or another operating model.Establish appropriate ownership and accountability across teams.Ensure sufficient capacity is available across different Oracle functional areas.Develop approaches such as ring-fenced capacity where competing demand across areas such as Finance, SCM and other functions requires dedicated delivery capability.Platform Engineering & ArchitectureAssess and improve the current Oracle technical architecture.Establish appropriate CI/CD, DevOps and release-management practices across the Oracle platform.Improve the overall engineering lifecycle from development through testing and deployment.Address gaps in the current integration and platform architecture.Establish appropriate standards for integrations, repeatable patterns, environments and deployment processes.Ensure architectural decisions are driven by long-term platform requirements rather than individual project requirements.Identify technical debt and ensure foundational improvements are incorporated into the delivery backlog.Support & Service ManagementEstablish an effective operating model for Oracle platform support.Ensure the right balance between internal teams, delivery partners, contractors and Oracle/vendor resources.Define appropriate support structures, escalation routes, ownership and technical governance.Ensure the support backlog is properly managed and prioritised.Make sure foundational platform issues and improvements are not continually displaced by short-term functional requests.Establish appropriate processes for incident, problem, change and technical debt management.Delivery Operating ModelLead multiple Oracle delivery squads and ensure they are organised effectively.Develop the appropriate model for managing demand across Oracle modules and business functions.Establish mechanisms for prioritising competing Finance, SCM, HCM and other Oracle requirements.Ensure delivery capacity is aligned to business priorities without compromising the underlying platform.Provide technical leadership across internally managed teams and external delivery partners.Navigate and manage the wider Oracle partner and vendor landscape.Experience RequiredThe ideal candidate will have:Significant experience operating and leading an enterprise-scale Oracle ERP platform.A strong Oracle technical background rather than purely project/programme management experience.Proven experience leading multiple Oracle technical and delivery teams.Experience establishing or improving an Oracle platform operating model.Strong understanding of enterprise Oracle architecture, integrations and technical governance.Experience establishing or improving CI/CD and DevOps practices within an Oracle environment.Experience managing Oracle support and delivery models.Experience managing technical backlogs and prioritising platform/foundation improvements against functional demand.Experience designing effective delivery team structures and capacity models.The ability to understand competing demand across Oracle modules and establish appropriate ring-fenced capacity where required.Experience working with a combination of internal teams, contractors, systems integrators and Oracle/vendor organisations.Strong understanding of the Oracle partner/vendor ecosystem.The ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels and translate
