Role Description The Ostoinsinööri (Purchasing Engineer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Riihimäki. In this position, the professional is responsible for managing purchasing processes, including preparing and handling purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. Daily tasks include analyzing supplier offers, negotiating pricing and terms, and coordinating with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability. The role also involves planning and optimizing purchasing activities, evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability, and supporting continuous improvement of procurement practices. The Ostoinsinööri contributes to cost efficiency, risk management, and the overall reliability of Kumera’s supply chain. Qualifications Experience with purchasing processes, including purchase planning and purchase orders.Capability in purchase management, such as supplier coordination and order follow-up.Strong analytical skills for evaluating quotations, costs, and supplier performance.Relevant technical or commercial degree, such as engineering, industrial management, or business.Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably in mechanical or process industries.Proficiency with ERP and procurement-related systems and basic MS Office tools.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.Fluency in Finnish and good command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.Organized, proactive working style and ability to manage multiple purchasing tasks simultaneously.
