Platform Engineer

Azure & Databricks Platform EngineerContract Type: Freelance / B2B We are seeking an experienced Azure & Databricks Platform Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hands on experience to manage, scale, and secure enterprise cloud, data, and DevOps environments. In this role, you will take ownership of core Azure infrastructure, Databricks governance via Unity Catalog, Microsoft Fabric deployments, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Key ResponsibilitiesAzure Cloud Administration: Manage end to end networking (VNets, Subnets, Private Endpoints, DNS), subscription governance, RBAC, Storage Accounts, App Registrations, Web Apps, and Azure Data Factory integrations.Databricks Administration: Configure and maintain workspaces, compute resources, network integration, external data access, and robust data governance using Unity Catalog.Microsoft Fabric Support: Oversee workspace and capacity deployments, data integrations, access permissions, and gateway configuration.DevOps & Automation: Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, agent pools, repositories, service connections, and security configurations.Reliability & Security: Maintain platform stability, automate operational workflows, and ensure strict compliance and access controls across all environments. Required Experience & Skills5 to 7 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Data Platform roles.Strong background in Azure administration, governance, and cloud networking.Proven hands on expertise with Databricks platform setup, compute management, and Unity Catalog.Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric capacity management and data integration.Strong Azure DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployment.Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.Fluent English communication skills.
