Newly created role with a major UK brand building out their internal, cloud-native (AWS) Platform capability – a platform that will allow the Engineering and Development teams to operate at more speed with less friction; whilst helping the business to achieve its objectives and encourage creativity. They are looking for a senior level Platform Manager who can understand the needs of the Development and Engineering teams, building a platform for them that allows them to operate at the highest levels of speed, quality and security; in turn creating a platform which acts as a business enabler, not hindrance. Whilst this role is far more leadership and change management focused, you will be building and implementing the platform and framework on which Dev teams will be working on - a background in Software Development or leading highly technical Software Dev/Engineering teams will therefore be highly advantageous so you understand their challenges and needs. The platform is only as successful as its adoption and this needs to be at the forefront of the successful candidates mind.
