Position Overview

As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you'll work with customers across diverse industries, helping them leverage advanced computational fluid dynamics to solve complex engineering challenges. We're looking for someone who understands how CFD simulation drives innovation in practice—not in theory—and can help organizations unlock the full potential of Simcenter solutions. What does success look like to you when a customer moves from struggling with design optimization to confidently predicting product performance?

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discussions with customers and demonstrate how Simcenter CFD solutions address their specific engineering challenges in aerodynamics, thermal management, and multiphysics applicationsConduct technical presentations and live demonstrations of STAR-CCM+ and related CFD tools, translating complex simulation concepts into clear, compelling business valueBuild long-term relationships with technical decision-makers and engineers at customer organizations, becoming a trusted advisor for their simulation needsDevelop customized CFD simulation solutions based on customer requirements across different industries, from automotive and aerospace to energy and marine applicationsProvide expert technical consulting on CFD analysis, multiphysics modeling, mesh generation, turbulence modeling, and simulation best practicesSupport the sales process by identifying customer needs and positioning Simcenter solutions as the right fit for their technical and business objectives

Qualifications

Master's or doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical fieldSignificant experience with CFD simulation in a professional or academic setting, including strong knowledge of STAR-CCM+, fluid mechanics, turbulence modeling, and numerical methodsDemonstrated expertise in CFD analysis techniques such as aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, heat transfer, multiphysics modeling, mesh generation, and post-processingAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying levels of engineering knowledge, and to listen carefully when customers describe their needsTrack record of success in technical sales, customer support, or pre-sales roles in a B2B environment, with the ability to connect technical benefits to business value and ROIExcellent presentation skills and the ability to conduct live product demonstrations that engage and inspire customersFluency in English and willingness to travel approximately 20% for customer visits

Nice to have

Experience with AI and machine learning applications in engineering simulation, such as surrogate modeling or predictive analyticsFamiliarity with complementary tools such as Simcenter Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys Fluent, CAD integration, or scripting languages for automationKnowledge of digital manufacturing or advanced PLM approaches

Compensation & Benefits

The primary locations for this opportunity are Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:

Min 736.600 - Max 1.399.100 EUR (Sweden)

Min 61.100 - Max 122.200 EUR (Finland)

Min 603.500 - Max 1.207.100 EUR (Denmark)

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
