Production Engineer

This is a consultancy assignment based in Eskilstuna. You will join a dedicated team working with production and engineering in the development and production of tractors, construction equipment, and similar heavy machinery. We are currently seeking a driven Production Engineer for a consultancy assignment with a leading actor within heavy vehicles and machine technology. Our client is looking for a person who combines production engineering experience with strong practical and mechanical knowledge. The ideal candidate understands how tractors, construction equipment, and similar machines work in practice and can bridge the gap between engineering solutions and the reality of production. You will work closely with engineers and production teams, using your practical experience to identify what works in reality, what does not, and how technical solutions can be adapted to function effectively in production. Main Responsibilities:Production Engineering: Contribute to production-technical work related to the assembly, disassembly, and manufacturing of tractors, construction equipment, and similar machinery.Practical Problem Solving: Identify practical challenges when working with tractors and construction equipment and provide input on how technical solutions can be improved.Mechanical Understanding: Use your hands-on mechanical experience to understand how tractors, construction equipment, and their mechanical systems work in practice.Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and communicate practical requirements, limitations, and solutions from a production perspective.Production Support: Act as a link between engineering and production, ensuring that solutions developed on paper can also work effectively on the actual machine. Requirements:Education: A technical or engineering education is beneficial, but equivalent professional experience is fully acceptable.Experience: Proven experience as a Production Engineer, Production Technician, or in a similar production-technical role.Practical & Mechanical Background: Strong hands-on experience working with tractors, construction equipment, construction vehicles, or similar heavy machinery.Mechanical Understanding: You should be comfortable disassembling a tractor or similar machine, understanding how it works, and putting it back together.Production Understanding: Good understanding of production and how technical solutions are implemented when working with tractors, construction equipment, and similar machinery.Practical Mindset: You understand the difference between what looks good on a drawing and what actually works on the machine in practice.Communication: Ability to clearly communicate practical challenges and solutions to engineers and other technical stakeholders. Meritorious:Previous experience working with tractors, construction equipment, construction vehicles, or similar heavy machinery.Experience from a production engineering or production-technical environment.Experience working closely with both engineering and production teams.Experience identifying and solving practical problems related to the assembly, disassembly, and manufacturing of heavy machinery.
