They are currently expanding their Python development team and are looking for experienced Python Developers to join a long-term project based in Gothenburg. This is a great opportunity for a Python Developer who enjoys working in a collaborative technical environment and is looking for a stable freelance engagement through to 2027. The RolePosition: Python DeveloperLocation: Gothenburg, SwedenWorking Model: 5 days per week on-siteContract: FreelanceStart Date: 1 October 2026Contract Duration: Until June 2027 + extensionExperience: 3–5 years' commercial Python experienceLanguage: English speakingInterview: 1-stage, approximately 1.5 hours, on-site Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python.Work as part of an established Python development team.Contribute to the design, development and improvement of software applications.Write clean, maintainable and well-tested Python code.Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.Collaborate with developers, engineers and other technical stakeholders.Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Contribute to continuous improvement across development practices and software quality.Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliver them to a high standard. Essential Skills & Experience3–5 years' commercial experience with Python.Strong Python development skills.Good understanding of software development principles and best practices.Experience working within a professional software engineering environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider development team.Good English communication skills.Willingness to work 5 days per week on-site in Gothenburg. Nice to HaveExperience with LLM prompting or Generative AI technologies.Exposure to AI-assisted development or AI-powered applications.Experience working with APIs and integrations.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Experience working within large-scale engineering or technology environments.
