QA Engineer & Application Support Specialist

About the job We are currently searching for a freelance QA Engineer & Application Support Specialist to support an ongoing web application development programme. This would suit an early-to-mid career professional looking to build further experience across both application support and software quality assurance. The consultant will combine application/user support and incident management with software testing, working closely with users, product owners and developers to investigate issues and drive them through to resolution. Contract type: Freelance / B2BStart: ASAPDuration: 8 Months + Ext.Location: 100% RemoteWorkload: 80–100%Language: English Required Skills:Experience in Application Support / User SupportExperience with incident management, troubleshooting and issue resolutionPractical experience supporting or testing web applicationsExposure to Angular-based applicationsHands-on software testing / QA experienceUnderstanding of test automationExperience with Playwright, Cypress or SeleniumGood technical troubleshooting skills, including Browser DevToolsStrong communication skills and willingness to work directly with users Key Responsibilities:Provide hands-on application and user supportTriage, investigate and reproduce reported software issuesPerform manual and automated testing of web applicationsSupport regression and end-to-end testingWork closely with users, Product Owners and developers to resolve issuesCreate clear bug reports and support issues through to resolutionContribute to improving testing and support processes Key Experience:Background combining Application Support with QA / Software TestingExperience troubleshooting web application issuesExposure to testing Angular applicationsExperience with Playwright, Cypress or SeleniumComfortable working directly with users and taking ownership of support requestsAngular development knowledge would be beneficialStrong English communication skills
