Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial, contractual, and financial performance of multiple projects. The successful Quantity Surveyor will bring strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to progress within a reputable and growing organisation. This position operates on a 17/4 rotation, with accommodation, allowance, vehicle, and flights included. Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation, monitoring, and updating of contract budgets.Management of contractual and legal aspects of each project.Administration and maintenance of accurate contract records.Production of monthly JCRs and JCSs.Attendance at contractor handover meetings.Participation in bi‑weekly contract review meetings and presentation of commercial updates.Updating of cash reporting and support with cash collection.Identification of risks and preparation of risk management plans.Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and the professional team. Qualifications & ExperienceStrong understanding of construction methods and technologies.Proficient in measurement and valuation — essential for an effective Quantity Surveyor.Ability to form strong working relationships with all stakeholders.Knowledge of subcontract/material orders and procurement processes.Experience preparing and interpreting commercial reports.Familiarity with both bespoke and standard form contracts.Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience within the construction industry, ideally in a Quantity Surveyor capacity.
