Not a research project - a commercial business shipping product and generating revenue, with in-house chip manufacturing that turns new quantum chips around in under a week. About the roleYou'll develop and validate the cryogenic infrastructure that connects silicon quantum processors to the classical world. As the processors scale, the wiring, interconnects, and quantum-classical interfaces inside the dilution refrigerators become as critical as the qubits themselves. Careful, hands-on laboratory work building the infrastructure that makes large-scale quantum computing possible. Your work will includeTesting and validating cryogenic wiring, attenuation stacks, interconnects, and connector solutions (in-house and third-party)Developing and executing cross-talk testing protocols for high-density cryogenic signal deliveryAssessing how cryogenic components affect qubit performance - noise, thermalisation, warming effectsOperating and maintaining dilution refrigerator systems, contributing to their monitoring and reliabilityDeveloping and maintaining test and data analysis code, documenting rigorously against defined requirementsCollaborating with hardware engineering and measurement teams on quantum-classical interfaces and fridge configurationsMaintaining specialised laboratory and RF equipment EssentialBachelor's, Honours, or Master's in physics, electrical engineering, quantum engineering, or a related disciplineHands-on laboratory experience in cryogenics, RF/microwave test and measurement, or low-temperature physicsProficiency in PythonHighly organised, detail-oriented, and rigorous in testing and documentationExcellent communication across diverse audiencesEffective in multidisciplinary teams with shared ownership of outcomes DesirablePhD in physics, electrical engineering, quantum engineering, or a related disciplineHands-on experience setting up and operating dilution refrigerator systemsStrong background in RF measurement techniques and signal integrityExperience measuring qubits or other cryogenic quantum devicesFamiliarity with cryogenic wiring, attenuation, and filtering design for quantum computing systems Location, relocation, and processAustralia.
