Sap Finance Control Consultant

Insight Global are seeking an SAP FICO SME (ECC & S/4HANA) for a leading global consumer goods organization undergoing a large-scale finance transformation programme. This position requires fully remote work in Europe for a 6-month employment contract. The SAP FICO SME will play a key role in supporting a live SAP ECC environment while contributing to an ECC-to-S/4HANA Finance transformation. This position combines hands-on production support with strategic project work, partnering closely with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable SAP Finance solutions. The successful candidate will have strong expertise across SAP FI and CO modules, experience supporting financial close processes, and a solid understanding of S/4HANA Finance concepts including Universal Journal and the simplified finance data model. Qualifications:Strong SAP FICO experience across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environmentsHands-on SAP FI configuration and support experience including: General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA))Hands-on SAP CO configuration and support experience including: Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders (IO), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Margin Analysis, Project Systems (WBS)Experience supporting SAP ECC production environments including incidents, service requests, and change requestsExperience supporting month-end and year-end financial close activitiesStrong understanding of SAP FI/CO master data, organisational structures, and posting processesExperience with bank accounting, payment processing, reconciliations, assessments, distributions, and settlementsUnderstanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA Finance transformation conceptsKnowledge of Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and the S/4HANA Finance data modelExperience with configuration, testing, integrations, and documentationUnderstanding of FI/CO integrations with MM, SD, and PP modulesFamiliarity with SAP IMG configuration and standard SAP transaction codesExperience using Jira, ServiceNow, qTest, and Power BIBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline Key Responsibilities:Provide SAP ECC FICO production support for incidents, service requests, and enhancementsSupport FI modules including GL, Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Project SystemsSupport CO modules including CCA, IO, PCA, Margin Analysis, and CO-PAPartner with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutionsConfigure SAP FI/CO functionality and execute unit and integration testingTroubleshoot issues and implement sustainable resolutionsMaintain functional and configuration documentationSupport month-end and year-end financial close processesParticipate in ECC-to-S/4HANA migration activities, including cutover supportAssist with S/4HANA Finance process design and configurationEnsure alignment with SAP best practices and project standardsCollaborate with MM, SD, PP, and technical teams across the SAP landscape
