🚀 We’re Hiring – Senior Azure & Wintel Automation Engineer (Remote) Aptendo is expanding its engineering team for long-term projects with international clients. We’re looking for a Senior Azure & Wintel Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience across Azure IaaS, Wintel, VMware, Active Directory, and infrastructure automation. If you’re comfortable managing complex hybrid environments and automating them with PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Ansible, read on. What you'll do Architect, deploy, and manage Windows/Wintel infrastructure across on-premises and Azure cloud environmentsDesign, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualized workloadsManage Azure IaaS, including VM provisioning, networking, backup, monitoring, and cloud migration activitiesAdminister and optimize Active Directory, Group Policies, Entra ID, and authentication mechanismsBuild and maintain infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and AnsibleTroubleshoot complex Windows Server, VMware, and Azure infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performanceHandle server hardening, patching, security policies, and complianceSupport storage provisioning and integration with Pure StorageCollaborate with networking, security, and DevOps teams and help drive infrastructure best practices across the engineering team What we're looking for Strong senior-level experience in Wintel engineering, VMware, and cloud infrastructureExtensive hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and GPO managementStrong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization technologiesSolid hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, cloud automation, and migration strategiesStrong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, Bash, and AnsibleGood understanding of security best practices, system hardening, patching, and complianceStrong troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise infrastructureGood communication skills and experience working with technical and business stakeholdersBasic knowledge of Pure Storage and storage provisioning Nice to have Experience working with hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with AzureFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Load BalancersKnowledge of the ITIL framework for incident, problem, and change managementCertifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect, or similar What we offer 💼 B2B contract, long-term engagement🌍 Fully remote — work with an international customer🕐 Standard European timezone (EEST/CET/GMT) working hours 📩 Sound like you?
